Who should attend Communicate Stronger?
Communicate Stronger is an event for communications professionals and others who want to expand their knowledge and their network. If you’re looking for fresh strategies to be better every day, join us.
The event is organized by the Great Plains chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators. Although our membership is largely made up of communications professionals, communication skills are critical in all professions. IABC members and non-members are welcome.
What should I wear?
The conference dress code is business casual. If you plan to get a free headshot, you may want to dress accordingly.
What should I bring?

Business cards. You’re going to meet people you want to connect with later.

An appetite for new information – and lunch!
What are you serving for breakfast and lunch?

Breakfast: assorted crustless quiches (veggie and meat), roasted potatoes, fresh fruit skewers, assortment of fresh pastries, coffee and water.

Lunch: Build-your-own baked potato with all the fixings, including cheese, pulled pork, sour cream, butter and bacon, as well as broccoli cheese soup, BBQ sauce, green salad, fresh fruit skewers and assorted cookies.
What kind of payment do you accept?
Early bird and general registration payments must be paid by credit card via Eventbrite. Credit cards and checks will be accepted for at-the-door registration on the day of the event. We do not accept cash.
Can I cancel my registration if I can’t attend?
You can cancel or transfer your registration. Contact us at iabcgreatplains@gmail.com to cancel or transfer your ticket.

By March 31 (5 p.m. CST), you’ll receive a 75% refund of total fees.

By April 14 (5 p.m. CST), you’ll receive a 50% refund of total fees.

By May 2 (5 p.m. CST), you’ll receive a 25% refund of total fees.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations submitted after 5 p.m. CST May 2.
If you are unable to attend due to a health or family emergency and cannot transfer your ticket to someone else, a refund may be issued at our discretion.
Can I transfer my registration to someone else if I can’t attend?
Yes. The deadline to transfer your ticket is 5 p.m. CST May 5. Contact us at iabcgreatplains@gmail.com to transfer your registration.
What if I work for a tax-exempt organization?
Please email iabcgreatplains@gmail.com to request a tax-free invoice.
If the conference is cancelled, do I get a refund?
If for any reason beyond our control we determine that the conference must be cancelled, shortened, delayed, dates changed or otherwise altered, Great Plains IABC shall apply the registration fees paid by participants to the same event occurring in the following calendar year.
